If you have a key for a prior version you will require a new license key.(Works as advertised, but friction is high. Loses points for complexity and update hassles.) If you meant “activate” as in “crack/pirate Tableau offline,” that’s not supported – Tableau’s offline activation still requires a genuine license key. No legitimate method exists without a valid key.
