Her laptop sat on the counter in front of her, but its screen now showed her empty apartment, her forgotten coffee mug, the rain tapping on her real window.

Her escape was a cracked, ancient tablet that ran Android. On it, she played Starlight Bakery , a silly game where you stacked pixelated croissants to serve alien cats. It was her only joy after long shifts at the data center.
