The Begonia Torrent is a rhizomatous plant that grows up to 12 inches (30 cm) tall and 18 inches (45 cm) wide. Its leaves are large, asymmetrical, and heart-shaped, measuring up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length and 6 inches (15 cm) in width. The leaves have a beautiful, swirling pattern of silver and green markings on the upper surface, while the underside is a deep red color. The plant produces small, white flowers in clusters on a long stem, which are relatively inconspicuous compared to the striking foliage.

Propagation of Begonia Torrent is typically done through division or leaf cuttings. The plant can be divided into smaller sections, making sure each section has at least one growing stem and some roots. Leaf cuttings can also be taken, and rooted in a propagation tray with a well-draining medium. However, this method can be challenging, and success rates are often low.
