Change Icons On Desktop -

On the new desktop shortcut, follow Part 1 above to change its icon. Part 3: Change System Icons (This PC, Recycle Bin, Network) This method changes the main icons Windows places on your desktop by default. For Windows 11: Step 1: Right-click an empty area of your desktop and select Personalization .

Browse to your .ico file or choose from the default library.

In the left sidebar, click Themes .

Go to the Shortcut tab (for program shortcuts) or the Customize tab (for folders).

Under "Related settings," click Desktop icon settings . change icons on desktop

Right-click the icon or folder you want to change.

Go to Desktop Icon Settings (see Part 3) → Click Restore Default → OK . On the new desktop shortcut, follow Part 1
