“Doraemon!” Nobita shouted into his walkie-talkie. Static.
Doraemon put a stubby paw on his shoulder. “You always mess up, Nobita. That’s why you need us. And we need you to be brave. Just for five minutes.”
“A hair dryer against a world-ending ice monster?” Suneo squeaked.
Nobita looked at the snowflakes drifting down, remnants of the giant. He thought about the hourglass, now empty and silent. He realized Doraemon had lied. There was no “future self.” Doraemon had just made up the gadget to give Nobita courage.
He explained the plan. It was insane. Nobita would have to use the Reverse Time Glass alone, reappearing in the same spot five minutes earlier—face-to-face with the just-waking golem. The rest of the team would create a distraction using the last remaining gadget: a single Small Light .
