Open File Explorer (shortcut: Windows Key + E ).
The Format dialog box will appear. Configure the following settings:
Insert the USB drive into an available USB port on your Windows 10 computer. format usb drive windows 10
Type clean and press Enter. This removes all partitions and data.
Type diskpart and press Enter.
Type select partition 1 and press Enter.
Right-click on the USB drive icon and select Format... from the context menu. Open File Explorer (shortcut: Windows Key + E )
Type format fs=exFAT quick (replace exFAT with NTFS or FAT32 as needed). Press Enter.
