Viewers call them "wholesome." But critics argue they are voyeuristic trauma mining. The "therapist" is a YouTuber with a Patreon link in the bio. Psychologist Dr. Elena Rios explains the appeal: "Omegle videos offer the 'mirror neuron' rush. We see a pure, unmediated human reaction—surprise, joy, disgust—that has been engineered out of curated social media. It feels real because the victim didn't consent to being watched.
