PSEMU3 is an emerging open-source PlayStation 3 emulator aiming to bring titles like The Last of Us , Metal Gear Solid 4 , and Demon’s Souls to PC. Unlike its main rival, RPCS3, which focuses on high-level emulation (HLE) for speed, PSEMU3 attempts a unique hybrid approach: low-level emulation (LLE) for the SPU (Synergistic Processing Units) combined with HLE for the PPU.
