The beauty of the mBot platform is that it’s forgiving. Mess up the code? The robot just spins in sad circles. Short a wire? It twitches like it’s having a tiny robot seizure. But when it works—when that little blue chassis turns to face an intruder with mechanical determination—you feel like a genius. The SRO Mbot isn't going to stop a real burglar. It can’t climb stairs. It once got stuck attacking a potted plant for 20 minutes.

But my new project, the (short for Small Roaming Observer ), has a different mission. It’s part curiosity, part caffeine guardian, and 100% over-engineered for absolutely no reason. sro mbot
