What makes Sirko brilliant is his motivation. Dexter killed his lover, Viktor. This makes Sirko the mirror image of Dexter—a killer who only kills for love. Their scenes together (especially the bar scene where Sirko admits his sexuality and his pain) are written like a neo-noir thriller.
