Baibai. The word lingers, soft as a lie you tell yourself before sleep.

My memories of you aren't straight lines — they're bent spoons, warped photographs left too long in the sun. I remember your laugh, but it cracks at the edges now, like old vinyl. I remember your silhouette by the door, but the shadows reach for it, pull it sideways into a shape that never existed. twisted memories baibai

Twisted memories: The good parts have thorns. The bad parts have sweetness I don't deserve. And somewhere in between, I keep waving baibai to a version of you that only lives in the crooked hallways of my head. Baibai
